European Jewry is worried about the security of the Middle East’s Christian minority, the leader of a rabbinical group said.
According to Moscow-based Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, the president of the Conference of European Rabbis, which just concluded a meeting of its standing committee here, “the romantic support given by widening circles in Europe to continuous terror attacks against Jews by Islamic terrorists directly impacts the resolve of the West to effectively save the millions of Christians living in the Middle East, whose live are endangered by a ever growing radicalized Islamic threat.”
Leading identity analyst firm Acuity Market Intelligence forecasts that in five years time half of the world’s population will have a chip-based National eID card, including near-complete regional coverage in Europe. Asia, with its vast population, is expected to dominate the market accounting for more than 60% of all National eID cards issued between 2014 and 2018.
Acuity’s report — “The Global National eID Industry Report: 2014 Edition” — projects that nearly 3.4 billion National eID cards will be issued over the next five years doubling global National eID card circulation from 1.75 billion to 3.5 billion by 2018
Bible scholars explain a third of the angels followed Lucifer, becoming the infamous “fallen angels.” Horn believes some of these fallen angels lusted after women, descended to Earth and polluted the DNA of the human race, creating a race of gigantic, mutant hybrids.
Thomas Horn explains that it was Satan’s plan to take God’s creation and remake it in his own image while polluting the Messianic bloodline. But as related in Genesis 6, God stopped the plan by sending the flood.
Horn contends the evil plan continues behind the scenes to this day.
Still miffed over negative comments that Israel’s defense minister made about Secretary of State John Kerry’s Mideast peace efforts and nuclear negotiations with Iran, the Obama administration this week refused his requests to meet several top national security aides, U.S. officials said Friday.
While Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon did see Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power, the officials said the White House and State Department rejected Israeli proposals for meetings with Vice President Joe Biden, national security adviser Susan Rice and Kerry on his five-day trip to the United States. The administration had sought to stop Ya’alon from seeing Power but the objections were made too late to cancel the meeting, according to the officials.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the snubs, which were first reported by several Israeli media outlets.
Japan warned on Friday that a volcano in southern Japan located roughly 64 km (40 miles) from a nuclear plant was showing signs of increased activity that could possibly lead to a small-scale eruption and warned people to stay away from the summit. The warning comes nearly a month after another volcano, Mt Ontake, erupted suddenly when crowded with hikers, killing 57 people in Japan’s worst volcanic disaster in nearly 90 years. Ioyama, a mountain on the southwestern island of Kyushu, has been shaken by small tremors and other signs of rising volcanic activity recently, including a tremor lasting as long as seven minutes, an official at the Japan Meteorological Agency’s volcano division said.
A team of seven scientists from Yale’s Schools of Public Health and Medicine and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Liberia developed a mathematical transmission model of the viral disease and applied it to Liberia’s most populous county, Montserrado, an area already hard hit. The researchers determined that tens of thousands of new Ebola cases — and deaths — are likely by Dec. 15 if the epidemic continues on its present course.
“Our predictions highlight the rapidly closing window of opportunity for controlling the outbreak and averting a catastrophic toll of new Ebola cases and deaths in the coming months,” said Alison Galvani, professor of epidemiology at the School of Public Health and the paper’s senior author. “Although we might still be within the midst of what will ultimately be viewed as the early phase of the current outbreak, the possibility of averting calamitous repercussions from an initially delayed and insufficient response is quickly eroding.”
The model developed by Galvani and colleagues projects as many as 170,996 total reported and unreported cases of the disease, representing 12% of the overall population of some 1.38 million people, and 90,122 deaths in Montserrado alone by Dec. 15. Of these, the authors estimate 42,669 cases and 27,175 deaths will have been reported by that time.
The number of cases in the Ebola outbreak has exceeded 10,000, with 4,922 deaths, the World Health Organization says in its latest report.
Only 27 of the cases have occurred outside the three worst-hit countries, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
Those three countries account for all but 10 of the fatalities.
ack on January 26, a 58-year-old former senior executive at German investment bank behemoth Deutsche Bank, William Broeksmit, was found dead after hanging himself at his London home, and with that, set off an unprecedented series of banker suicides throughout the year which included former Fed officials and numerous JPMorgan traders.
Following a brief late summer spell in which there was little if any news of bankers taking their lives, as reported previously, the banker suicides returned with a bang when none other than the hedge fund partner of infamous former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Khan, Thierry Leyne, a French-Israeli entrepreneur, was found dead after jumping off the 23rd floor of one of the Yoo towers, a prestigious residential complex in Tel Aviv.
Just a few brief hours later the WSJ reported that yet another Deutsche Bank veteran has committed suicide, and not just anyone but the bank’s associate general counsel, 41 year old Calogero “Charlie” Gambino, who was found on the morning of Oct. 20, having also hung himself by the neck from a stairway banister, which according to the New York Police Department was the cause of death. We assume that any relationship to the famous Italian family carrying that last name is purely accidental.
The WSJ reports that Mr. Gambino had been “closely involved in negotiating legal issues for Deutsche Bank, including the prolonged probe into manipulation of the London interbank offered rate, or Libor, and ongoing investigations into manipulation of currencies markets, according to people familiar with his role at the bank.”
He previously was an associate at a private law firm and a regulatory enforcement lawyer from 1997 to 1999, according to his online LinkedIn profile and biographies for conferences where he spoke. But most notably, as his LinkedIn profile below shows, like many other Wall Street revolving door regulators, he started his career at the SEC itself where he worked from 1997 to 1999.
It remains to be seen if Calogero’s death was also related to precious metals rigging although it certainly would not be surprising. What is surprising, is that slowly things are starting to fall apart at the one bank which as we won’t tire of highlighting, has a bigger pyramid of notional derivatives on its balance sheet than even JPMorgan, amounting to 20 times more than the GDP of Germany itself, and where if any internal investigation ever goes to the very top, then Europe itself, and thus the world, would be in jeopardy.
Which is why perhaps sometimes it is easiest if the weakest links, those whose knowledge can implicate the people at the top, quietly commit suicide in the middle of the night…
Liar, Not a Conservative
As I have stated before, Cameron is a liar, not a conservative. He is in a coalition bed with the Liberal-Democrats, a pro-euro, pro-Labour, pro-climate-change, free education, and progressive tax party.
With that set of bed-mates, no conservative in their right mind should believe a damn thing he claims to stand for.
Fancy that. Businesses are cutting prices to increase sales! Meanwhile Keynesian economists tell us that prices need to go up to increase sales.
Any business in Europe raising prices now would soon go out of business due to no sales at all.
And forget about the equally stupid Keynesian theory that consumers will hold off purchases when prices fall. They won’t.
So let me get this straight…because the IRS later approved the tax-exempt status, after the Tea Party Groups brought the matter to court and after the campaigns were over, they now pay no penalty? How does that make sense in any way? If I beat someone up every day for weeks, then stop when they sue me, by this rationale it’s no-harm no-foul, since I’m not currently beating them and stopped after the matter was made public. This is insanity. And it gets even better:
The judge, appointed by Republican President George W. Bush, also said the groups couldn’t receive monetary relief from individual IRS officials, such as ex-IRS official Lois Lerner, because of the chilling effect it would have on tax administration.
Heaven forbid we place a “chilling effect” upon the government’s tax administration! Clearly that should weigh into a Judge’s decision on whether or not a group or groups were wronged. Again – if this was a case in which I had beaten a man, would the “chilling effect” that going to prison for 5 years would have on me permit me to walk free? No, of course not! People everywhere should be enraged by this horrible, nonsensical ruling.
Judge Reggie Walton, you’re garbage and a black mark on our justice system.
Democratic FEC Vice Chair Ann M. Ravel announced plans to begin the process to win regulations on Internet-based campaigns and videos, currently free from most of the FEC’s rules. “A reexamination of the commission’s approach to the internet and other emerging technologies is long over due,” she said.
The power play followed a deadlocked 3-3 vote on whether an Ohio anti-President Obama Internet campaign featuring two videos violated FEC rules when it did not report its finances or offer a disclosure on the ads. The ads were placed for free on YouTube and were not paid advertising.

Under a 2006 FEC rule, free political videos and advocacy sites have been free of regulation in a bid to boost voter participation in politics. Only Internet videos that are placed for a fee on websites, such as the Washington Examiner, are regulated just like normal TV ads.
Ravel’s statement suggests that she would regulate right-leaning groups like America Rising that posts anti-Democrat YouTube videos on its website.
FEC Chairman Lee E. Goodman, a Republican, said if regulation extends that far, then anybody who writes a political blog, runs a politically active news site or even chat room could be regulated. He added that funny internet campaigns like “Obama Girl,” and “Jib Jab” would also face regulations.
“I told you this was coming,” he told Secrets. Earlier this year he warned that Democrats on the panel were gunning for conservative Internet sites like the Drudge Report.
^^^Seriously, anyone that votes Democrat at this point is going straight to Hell. A vote for a Republican though, well, that just means you are going straight to Hell in a red tie, but at least it’s not blue. Lol.
Scattered corpses lie on pavements and roads with some tied to fencing, their severed heads stuck between their legs, as black-clad ISIS fighters patrol the streets.
Barack Obama will go down in history as the president who played golf, waxed eloquent about same-sex marriage, played golf, sold out the nation’s health-care system, played golf, lured illegal aliens across the border but refused to lift a finger to fight two deadly, foreign viruses that threatened breakouts in the U.S.
Did I mention he played golf?
In fact, Obama played so much golf as president he gave golf a bad name.
The two viruses are Ebola and ISIS.
The first order of national business during times of epidemics is to protect the homeland – tighten up border controls, restrict flights from infected areas, intensively screen visitors and isolate anyone potentially exposed.
With both viruses, Obama didn’t just ignore the obvious. He didn’t just neglect to take these common-sense steps. He actually defied the overwhelmingly popular calls of citizens, even his own constituents, and instead did nothing of consequence. Instead of taking precautions, he told the nation over and over there was no need to take precautions. He even mocked both viruses as non-threatening – referring to ISIS as little more than a “JV” basketball team taking on the Lakers and Ebola as a virus that is very difficult to contract.
He also played a lot of golf.
Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has warned about artificial intelligence before, tweeting that it could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Speaking Friday at the MIT Aeronautics and Astronautics department’s Centennial Symposium, Musk called it our biggest existential threat:
