10913 Gleaning Babylon’s Worm(s) Now Turning Time Is Short For The Earth’s Lizard King(s)
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe,[n] tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The American people should not take lightly such blatant disregard for our Constitution. Their actions pose a dangerous threat to our republic. Our system of government has lasted 224 years because of the wisdom that went into our Constitution, which separates the powers among the three branches of government. The executive branch already has a long history of overstepping its powers. Unless the American people hold our leaders accountable, we are in danger of straying so far off course from the Constitution that we could end up losing the republic and becoming a dictatorship. We are now very close to that point.
Senate Democrats, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, are willing to do whatever it takes to raise the debt ceiling so they can keep spending us into oblivion. They are now seeking to violate the United States Constitution as a means of silencing the voice of their opposition, the Republicans. They are planning to vote soon to authorize the President to assume powers that the Constitution clearly states do not belong to the President, the power to raise the debt ceiling. Article 1 Section 8.2 states, “The Congress shall have power to borrow money on the credit of the United States.”
For now at least the crisis in Washington has squelched any immediate discussion of a taper in the remaining months of 2013.Any predictions that a Yellen-led Fed will somehow show more resolve towards responsibility in 2014 or 2015 should be looked at as delusional.
Nuclear fusion, the same process that powers the sun, could provide us with limitless cheap energy—but experiments to date have always used more power than they created. Now, though, researchers have apparently tipped that balance, making fusion a real possibility.
A little more work, and fusion could soon become a real thing. [BBC]
It was the final night of classes at Singularity University’s March 2013 Executive Program, and we, the students, had been given a valedictory assignment: Predict the future.
“Does God exist?” Kurzweil muses, at the end of Transcendent Man. “Well, I would say, not yet.”
^^^WHAT COMPLETE HELL BOUND MORONS!!!
Alexander admitted that only 13 of the 54 cases were connected to the United States. He also told the committee that only one or two suspected plots were identified as a result of bulk phone record collection.
According to the American Civil Liberties Union, the group’s officials sent a biting letter defending Special Agent John Dodson, whom they claim is a whistleblower whose book will blow the lid off the alleged ATF and White House coverup of a flawed, perhaps illegal, government program. http://www.aclu.org/
There are millions of Americans who believe that ATF gun-smuggling operation resulted in at least two American law enforcement officials being killed — Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Agent Jaime Zapata — as well as hundreds of Mexican citizens.
Prior said that Fidelity no longer holds any U.S. debt that comes due in late October or early November, the window considered by many investors to be the most exposed if the government runs out of money and defaults on its obligations.
“The pastoral landscape of the Golan Heights… could turn with a sudden bang into a battleground of blood, fire and pillars of smoke,” Gantz added.
The striking results of the poll indicate that most Americans are in line with the Tea Party position on the debt ceiling than with the politicians and pundits in Washington who routinely slam fiscal conservatives and the very idea of spending restraint.
Neither American political party is worth supporting. Each has interests inconsistent with those of the American public. The claimed political differences are mostly cosmetic, designed for marketing advantage. Both parties act in their self interest which does not coincide with that of the citizens or the well-being of the country.
The political class is now a huge, voracious parasite. Like the plant in the Little Shop of Horrors, its needs have grown to the point where it threatens anything productive. Its needs now exceed the willingness for continued sacrifice on the part of the productive. The parasite threatens the very existence of the host.
And although the policy is pretty standard, packed with the usual legalese, there are a few details buried in it that have raised some concerns.
In the midst of the so-called government shut down, Obama has lashed at innocent American citizens. The President’s actions are so egregious that it is difficult to believe that he is not trying to provoke mainstream America into a confrontation with the forces of his administration. After Obama was confronted, in the mainstream media in May, with no less than five Watergate type scandals, coupled with his inability to give the central bankers the war they so desperately desire in the Middle East, the imposition of martial law may be the only way from which Obama can move to squelch all meaningful opposition to his continuing reign of terror. In the midst of the government shutdown, it is apparent that Obama is determined to inflict significant pain upon America.
There is however, a silver lining to the budget crisis as President Obama’s federally funded golf course is still open for business and its federally funded staff at the pro shop are anxiously awaiting the President’s next round of golf as he is teeing off today right after lunch.
(Here’s the official record.)
The last time we heard Congress members use the phrase martial law was when Congressmen Brad Sherman and Paul Kanjorski, and Senator James Inhofe, all said that Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson warned of martial law if the TARP banks bailouts weren’t approved.
Congress Is Less Popular than Dog Poop, Toenail Fungus, Hemorrhoids, Cockroaches, Lice, Root Canals, Colonoscopies, Traffic Jams, Used Car Salesmen, Genghis Khan, Communism, North Korea, BP during the Gulf Oil Spill, Nixon During Watergate or King George During the American Revolution
Curious that the Fed decided to say the tightening of financial conditions was “unwarranted” – is there a “warranted” market crush and rate surge? Oh wait, Lehman. Never mind.
As for reflexivity: it’s a bitch.
Here are the only key sections from the Minutes that matters, because they show clearly that the Fed is now fully aware of the Catch 22 quagmire it has caught itself in: suggest tapering due to an “strengthening economy” and watch “financial conditions tighten” (i.e., stock tumble, rates soar, refis plunge, housing market stalls, temp workers explode, etc) crashing the “economy”… or do nothing.
Remember, the Fed is printing $2 billion per day and funneling it into the system. So if the markets begin to break down NOW, the only thing the Fed can do is print more money.
With that in mind, the S&P 500 has briefly taken out the trendline that has supported it since QE 4 was announced.
The Perfect Storm is the confluence of events that will wreak economic havoc on America. It need not have anything to do with the current debt ceiling controversy. Most don’t see it coming. For them, it will bring shock and awe.
The Black Swan is Arithmetic. She is coming and she is already here. In Detroit, you see her in the debris of a once great American city.
Apparently the Obama administration plans to cause as much pain as possible until Obama gets everything that he is demanding. In many cases, it is actually going to cost far more money to put up barricades and use guards to keep Americans from visiting open air memorials, driving on roads, and fishing in bodies of water than it would to put up a “closed” sign and simply go home. As you will see from the examples posted below, the Obama administration is being extremely spiteful and vindictive. And the level of hypocrisy that we are now witnessing is hard to fathom.
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) believes that we’re living in the End Times — and she claims to have proof.
In an interview Saturday with Jan Markell on the Christian radio program “Understanding the Times,” Bachmann accused President Barack Obama of giving aid to terrorists. This, she says, is solid evidence that we have entered the Last Da
“Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha, come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann said. “When we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this: that these days would be as the days of Noah.”
The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole;anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.
Womack’s book is a warning to America to be on alert for enemies within.
“I would like to think Fort Hood might not have happened if the book’s message had been out earlier,” he said.
The facts of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, as well as in Nigeria, Uganda, and Pakistan, could not be clearer. Brave Christian leaders such as Naim Khoury have suffered for criticism of Muslim behavior. His church has been bombed 14 times by what he calls “extreme Hamas fundamentalists.” Since Hamas took power in Gaza in 2007, the Christian population has shrunk to about 1,500, less than half it was a decade ago. An even more unprincipled form of behavior has been the use of Christian houses by Palestinian terrorists as sniper positions to fire at Gilo, the Jerusalem suburb.
This morning I came across this headline from Reuters: Afghanistan risks becoming ‘narco-state’: U.N. official. So here is what I thought first: This must be an archived article from ten or eleven years ago. Immediately I clicked on the link and checked the date. No, it is dated October 9, 2013. As in today! Then, I checked the section to see whether it is posted under their Editorial Cartoon or Today’s Joke page. And guess what? Nope! The hilarious headline and the more hilarious content are posted as a regular news article. No matter. I bent over and laughed anyway. Come on, you’ve got to admit it is funny, as in, bend over and laugh funny.
I mean, how could you get a higher ranking than that, The World’s Top Producer of Opium? How in the world would they evolve into a full-fledged narco-state, when they’ve been there for over a decade?
A U.S. debt default in the event that a politically divided Congress fails to raise the federal borrowing limit would imperil the entire global economic recovery, a senior International Monetary Fund official warned Wednesday.
A core reason for the financial crisis was because too much debt was given to those with very little ability to pay it back. From the wealthiest banks to those scrimping by on minimum wage. The irony of this is that many for-profit colleges for example use government aid to finance the education of those that least can pay it back (plus the value of the degrees are virtually worthless in many cases). One distinct factor between the rich and poor is that the rich own assets while the poor and working class are owned by whatever little assets they have (most have relatively little). A new report shows this dramatic divide in wealth.
The 19% increase in the Case-Shiller home price index since March 2012 is widely thought to have boosted the prospects for overall household spending via the “wealth effect” transmitted by rising prices and cash out refinancing. But as Bloomberg’s Joseph Brusuelas notes, claims that spending is about to snap back should be interpreted with caution. The bifurcated nature of the overall expansion, and deep divisions within the U.S. economy due to increasing income inequality, has accelerated since the recovery began in mid-2009. There is little evidence that the bottoming out of cash out refinancing is translating into rising demand for the moribund service or non-durable retail sectors. Perhaps a lesson for Ms. Yellen here?
The inevitable outcome of this is that the more households soak up cash from other sources, the more desperate
the Fed will be to push housing higher as it is the only remaining viable
source of cash out.
About 6 months ago I said “Economic Depression Is The New Success“. In said article, I forcast serial European bank runs, to wit:
From the BBC: Iceland’s ‘tenacity’ lifts economy out of crisis
Whisper it – Iceland’s economy is on its way back. The frozen island on the edge of the Arctic, which had 10 straight quarters of shrinking GDP, is suddenly on a steady run of seven quarters of growth averaging at 2.5% per annum – something that few European countries can boast. Unemployment has fallen to just below 5% and confidence is returning…
Ready! Set! Bank Run!!!
Well, today Bloomberg reports “Icelanders Run Out of Cash to Repay Foreign Debts: Nordic Credit“. Basically, as percieved to be cut off from foreign markets, Icelanders are running out of non-Krona denominated cash to pay off foreign debts. Here’s more on the dilemma:
Wait a minute, if the Icelandic debt spikes, what happens to the Icelandic banks banks whose primary government bond (aka “risk free”, ahem…) holdings happen to be Icelandic. Here’s a hint: The Anatomy of a Europan Bank Run!
Just a few weeks ago, the Icelandic government started threatening to use the European ‘template’ of removing guarantees on large deposits (though maintaining its capital controls) indirectly pressuring the wealthy to spend (for fear of haircuts). However, the capital controls have backfired as Bloomberg notes, Iceland’s private sector is running out of cash to repay its foreign currency debt, according to the nation’s central bank.
Whocouldanode that Capital Controls and the restriction of free markets would have unintended consequences?
For years, since the onset of the euro crisis, we have heard that the crisis is over. Every year, politicians keep on telling us that the worst is over, but that next year will be so much better. Do you really think so? Here are some hard facts & figures instead of wishful thinking of lying politicians showing that the euro crisis is not over. On the contrary, things are getting worse.
To sum up, Congress needs adult supervision. Since the President can’t provide it and the Republican leadership won’t, the market might well have to step in and do the job. Such a resolution wouldn’t be pretty, but history suggests it would be reasonably effective. And once the immediate crisis was resolved, the market would probably recovery pretty sharply.
Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. 8 And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. 9 This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.
