Groups reportedly capture anti-tank weapons and ground-to-ground missiles; UN: 400,000 people in imminent danger in Homs
The man who in the first months of his reign took over the bankruptcy process turning it over on its head to benefit the state over centuries of established creditor rights (with GM, Chrysler and a whole lot of union votes), and who defined his entire first term by nationalizing the US healthcare system, who personally determined the cutoff for “wealth” at $250,000 per year (with the corresponding tax hike “benefits” to go with it), not to mention inheriting the George W. Bush personal surveillance apparatus and taking the nationalization of individual rights and liberties to a whole new level, has just decided to branch out and subordinate yet another two birds of distributed, efficient, global decision-making to his will: trade and patent law.
Why Obama decided that it was only “fair” to punish Samsung for having invested in the R&D that it would, and should, then capitalize on, nobody knows. Perhaps it was to award Apple for all those taxes it does not pay to the US Treasury. Or perhaps to show how grateful he is that the Cuppertino company employs tens of thousands of workers… in China?
But perhaps now that Obama has become the anti-patent troll in chief, thus not only not standing up for innovation but in effect, through his implicit nationalization of the benefits of corporate research if such research is deemed “unfair” by the abovementionedtroll, further destroying any impetus for traditional R&D, it will be “only fair” that the US government will now directly fund research spending… into more such brilliant projects as Solyndra. And after all, isn’t the grand scheme of that other uber-central planning mastermind – Ben Bernanke – simply to paradrop cash, no matter what the source, into the hands of such “people” as corporations? Because without cash wither all important inflation?
So as we await the blessing of seeing the purchasing power of all global currencies annihilated some more to their terminal end point, we wonder: just what will the US president surprise us with next?
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause to be killed as many as would not worship the image of the beast.
The latest news indicates that the Obama Administration will be moving forward with joint U.S./Egyptian military exercises despite the coup which occurred only weeks ago. That is to say, it does not seem to matter to Obama who is actually in power in Egypt, we are going to give them money, weapons, and even military training regardless. If this is not a message to the Egyptian people that the West is never going away, I don’t know what is.
These men are widely outspoken proponents of violent U.S. military intervention in the Middle East. They are also widely outspoken proponents of military intervention WITHIN the United States against American citizens
Barack Obama has responded by making matters worse (perhaps knowingly so).
Obama has tapped none other that Mr. John “Bomb-Bomb-Iran” McCain and civil liberties-hating Senator Lindsey Graham to be his front-men in Egypt, meeting with both the military power and the opposition in order to “address the turmoil convulsing the country”:
it was also John McCain (and Joseph Lieberman) that Obama sent after the Tunisian revolution in order to bribe the new government there with promises of U.S. monetary and military aid:
it was John McCain that was sent to meet with the Al-Qaeda controlled Syrian opposition now using U.S. funds to destabilize that country:
A U.S. envoy sent to discuss diplomatic ties with the new military leadership under General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as well as other organizations was snubbed by various political groups who were furious over American support of Mubarak, Mursi, and the General.
Even after the revolution and the election of Mohamed Mursi (a primary supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood whose political platform calls for the removal of western influences within predominantly Islamic cultures), the U.S. government continued to send $1.6 billion in foreign aid to the region.it appears that in the quest for “globalization”, western interests now see a destabilized and violent Egypt as more useful to the grand plan.
Egypt is now ripe for internal conflict far beyond civil disobedience into the realm of Syrian-style civil war,
It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe,[a] tongue, and nation.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
